The noTeam story

A long time ago, a group of friends started the sport of Skicross, it would have to be in 2004 at the Salomon Crossmax series in Nassfeld. This sport was new and exciting, it also enabled skiers to meet other like-minded people and share their prospects for a new and developing sport. As more and more people joined the circuit, the more serious skicross became. There was then a need for more training and terrain, as well as start gates. This became an issue in reference to the availability of places to train. After collaborating with some fellow friends, a small 30sec track was built in Sillian, the red noTeam startgate was built and so it began.

During 2008/2009, the noTeam competed in their first Europa Cup and decided to move training to Lienz/Zettersfeld. It provided a longer and bigger track and more support from the lift company (Lienzer-bergbahnen). Since then, skicross in Lienz has progressed in every direction to become a well recognised training hill where the jumps grew bigger and the course got grew longer. Atheletes from around the world are reguarly seen training here today.
